Our Story

At Powerhouse Management, we take a friendly, client-focused approach to property management. Specializing in facilities and building management, we’re committed to keeping residential and commercial complexes safe, compliant, and running smoothly, while delivering top-notch customer service and expert care every step of the way.
In 2016, Carlos and Amanda packed up their lives in Brazil and moved to New Zealand, embracing the unknown with a mix of excitement and courage. Carlos brought with him a wealth of experience from Brazil, where he spent 10 years working for a large mining company. His last position there was as a Facilities Manager, and he also gained significant experience in procurement, giving him a strong foundation in operations and management. Amanda’s career, rooted in the Supply Chain industry, provided a complementary expertise that would later prove invaluable in their shared ventures.

The journey began humbly—Carlos took his first job as a Porter in a 5-star Auckland hotel, where he built his English skills and learned the finer points of customer service. From this role, he saw firsthand how much of a difference good management and communication

Years later, with a few more positions under his belt and Amanda as his constant support, Carlos decided it was time to bring that vision to life. Together, they took a leap of faith and founded Powerhouse Management in 2020. Starting a business right at the onset of the Covid-19 pandemic came with unexpected challenges, but Carlos’s hands-on approach and Amanda’s unwavering support kept the business moving forward. Their focus was simple: to bring quality, efficiency, and clear communication into every building they managed.

Since then, Powerhouse has grown steadily. In 2022, they brought on their first building manager to help support the expanding
portfolio, marking the first big step towards building a dynamic team. By 2023, the company’s services had reached more buildings across Auckland, and Carlos and Amanda continued to grow the Powerhouse team. In 2024, they launched a dedicated grounds and gardening service, adding another layer of value for clients seeking comprehensive building care.

Today, Powerhouse Management serves clients across Auckland—Central, North, South, East, and West—providing responsive, reliable service that keeps buildings running smoothly and looking their best. Carlos and Amanda have built more than just a management company; they’ve created a team that’s deeply committed to the well-being of the buildings they manage and the clients they serve. They believe every Body Corporate deserves a management partner who is not only professional but personally invested in their property’s success.
